Start Chung Gun in the A closed ready position (Left hand over right fist, navel level) For the purpose of facing the correct direction I will use the following "code": when you start the form A is in front of you, B is to your left, C is to your right, and D is behind you. Any combination of these letters will be a diagonal movement. (ex. AB is to the forward diagonal left.) AB A AC B x C BD D CD "x" is the starting position. You will always be facing A to start 1 Turn towards B, slide your left foot into a right back stance (cat stance) and execute a middle guarding block with a knifehand. (Kiyai) 2 Maintaining the stance, execute a front snap kick off the forward (left) leg. 3 Continuing towards B shift into a left L-stance while executing a upward palm heel scooping block with your right hand. 4 Turning towards C (clockwise) step into a left back stance while executing a middle guarding block with a knifehand. 5 Maintaining the stance, execute a front snap kick off the forward (right) leg. 6 Continuing towards C, shift into a right L-stance while executing an upward palm heel scooping block with your left hand. 7 Turning towards A, slide your left foot over and step into a right L-stance while executing a sudo marki 8 Facing A, slide your left foot over into a left front stance while executing a reverse upward elbow with your right arm. 9 Shift forward (towards A) into a left L-stance while executing sudo marki. 10 Facing A, slide your right foot over into a right front stance while executing a reverse upward elbow with your left arm. 11 Shift forward (towards A) into a left front stance while executing a high double fist strike to the head. 12 Shift forward (towards A) into right front stance while executing a double upset punch to the solar plexus. (Kiyai) 13 Pivoting on your right foot (counterclockwise), turn towards D and step into a left front stance while executing a high X block. 14 Pivoting again on your right foot (counterclockwise), turn towards C into a right L-stance while executing a backfist side strike with the left hand. 15 Still facing C, slide your left foot over into a left front stance while turning the left fist so that the wrist is facing up. (this is to simulate someone grabbing a hold of your wrist and you breaking the hold) 16 Maintaining the left front stance execute a reverse mid section punch with the right hand. 17 Turning towards B (clockwise), step into left L-stance while executing a backfist sidestrike with the right hand. 18 Still facing B, slide your right foot over into a right front stance while turning the left fist so that the wrist is facing up. 19 Maintaining the right front stance execute a reverse mid section punch with the left hand. 20 Bring your right foot to your left, and step out towards D (counterclockwise). Step into a left front stance while executing a double forearm guarding block. 21 Slide your left foot over into a right L-stance (still facing D) while executing a high section punch with the forward (left) hand. 22 Execute a side piercing kick towards D with the right foot. 23 Following the kick land in right front stance while executing a double forearm guarding block. 24 Slide the right foot over into a left L-stance (still facing D) while executing a high section punch with the forward (right) hand. 25 Execute a side piercing kick towards D with the left foot. 26 Following the kick, land in a right L-stance while executing a closed hand sudo marki 27 Slide the left foot over into a left front stance (still facing D) while executing a double palm heel pressing block. (right hand faces down, left hand faces up) {Done in slow forceful motion} 28 Shift towards D into a left L-stance while executing a closed hand sudo marki. 29 Slide your right foot out into a right front stance (still facing D) while executing a double palm heel pressing block. (left hand faces down, right hand faces up) {done in a slow forceful motion} moves 28 & 29 are done in quick succession 30 Slide your left foot to your right (you should now be facing C) execute a cross punch with your right fist. {done in a slow forceful motion} 31 Step towards C into a left fixed stance while executing a stick block. 32 Slide your right foot towards your left and step towards B into a left fixed stance while executing a stick block. (kiyai) Back into A closed ready position. |
