About The Manchester School of
Tae Kwon Do
The Manchester School of Tae Kwon Do
was founded by Master Richard Higgins on June 4, 1997. The MSTKD teaches the
methods according to the principles of General Choi, regarded as the founder
of modern Tae Kwon Do. Techniques are based on current International Tae Kwon
Do Federation (ITF) standards. Classes are taught in a traditional
non-contact environment with respect and discipline. We
are located at 270 Amory St (Gosselin Plaza) in Manchester, NH
Head Instructor
Master Richard Higgins received his 1st degree black belt
in 1978 under the instruction of Mr James Glenn at Glenn's Tae Kwon Do in Hudson New Hampshire. He continued his
training under GrandMaster Ron Bastien of the Tae Kwon Do Karate Club in Manchester,
NH, and was ultimately awarded a rank of 6th degree Black Belt by GrandMaster Bastien. Master Higgins is forever grateful for the training and mentorship he recieved while under the instruction of Mr James Glenn (RIP) and GrandMaster Ronald Bastien.
The lessons learned from these teachers have been invaluable, and continue to serve me each day. Mission Statement The Manchester School of Tae Kwon Do is dedicated to keeping the study of Tae Kwon Do both available and affordable to all who share
a willingness to learn and persevere.
We have many options available for both current martial artists and new students,
including adult classes, children's classes, weapons instruction, and self defense seminars.
